Information

Wrekin View opened its doors in September 2004 due to the amalgamation of Orleton Lane Infants and Park Junior Schools.

The school is situated on what was the Park Junior site and has been extended three times. We now offer a 52 place Nursery, 2 Reception classes and 12 KS1 / KS2 classrooms.  Additionally we have a 6 place Language Class on site.  The location is also home to Wellington Children's Centre offering services to families with children 0 - 16 years of age.

We are fortunate that our school is set within a large area including extensive playing fields, a Multi-Use Games Area and a designated Forest School area.  We have a magnificent view of the Wrekin and our school can in fact be seen from the top of it!

Our pupils are mostly drawn from the Wellington area, although we do have a number of pupils who come to us from outside of the local area.  Many of our parents were pupils themselves when they were younger.

Our Pupil Admission Number for each Year Group is 60.  This enables us to organise the classes into 2 classes per year group.

All our classrooms have up to date interactive whiteboard technology, laptops and ipads. We also have a large Creative Arts area and extensive ICT suite.  We offer a wide range of Extended School Clubs, including a Breakfast Club, Homework Club, a variety of sports clubs, Active kids and Gardening Club.  The school has a very experienced Learning Mentor who provides a range of extensive pastoral support to pupils, including those who have newly arrived in the school.

In September 2012 we joined with Shortwood Primary School to form the Wrekin Learning Cooperative Trust.
